Job Purpose:

The IT Officer responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of Buna’s ITSM and monitoring tools. This role is responsible for executing the maintenance, support, and optimization of ITSM and monitoring systems to maintain high performance and security, directly contributing to the operational readiness and stability of IT services. He shall also participate in assisting the IT Operations team to ensure the reliability of IT infrastructure supporting Buna’s payment platforms through Buna’s ITSM processes. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Systems Maintenance and Support

  • Develop and maintain the annual IT maintenance plan, including timelines, activities, and resource requirements for ITSM and monitoring tools.
  • Manage, maintain, provision, and monitor all production environments.
  • Monitor system availability and ensure continuous support of operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Network & Security and Application Administration teams to manage changes through ITSM processes and monitoring tools.
  • Support ITIL processes, including:
    • Service Management
    • Service Mapping
    • Change Management
    • Configuration Management
    • Problem Management
    • Incident Management
    • Service Level Management
    • IT Service Continuity
    • Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in developing, enforcing, monitoring, and maintaining SLAs with vendors and service providers.
  • Support the timely handover of new services from project delivery teams to Operations.
  • Verify software licensing compliance and hardware asset inventories; initiate and track corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed software and hardware asset inventories.
  • Support IT asset purchasing, storage, handling, and redistribution decisions.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for ITSM tools, including:
    • ITSM
    • CSM
    • ITOM
    • Related modules
  • Remain available on a 24x7 basis as required.

Incident and Problem Management

  • Follow established procedures for incident response and problem resolution.
  • Monitor and manage IT system alerts to ensure early detection and resolution of issues.
  • Analyze incident and monitoring trends to recommend preventive measures and improve system stability.
  • Manage system maintenance and backups to ensure the integrity and recoverability of ITSM and monitoring tools.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

  • Implement and administer monitoring tools to proactively identify issues.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and ensure compliance with service level targets.
  • Address performance issues and recommend improvements.
  • Optimize systems through regular tuning and enhancement activities.

Security and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
  • Partner with the security team to implement best practices and remediate vulnerabilities.

Business Process Management

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices.
  • Support process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Perform daily activities in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to departmental process manuals and operational procedures.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
  • Monitor SLA and KPI compliance with vendors and service providers.
  • Stay informed about market developments, business opportunities, and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage market and industry insights to strengthen stakeholder relationships and support Buna’s strategic objectives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong Linux and Windows Server administration and production support experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with:
    • ITIL framework
    • ManageEngine administration and configuration (mandatory)
    • Zabbix administration and monitoring
  • Working knowledge of MySQL databases and SQL commands.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage.
